I have been thinking a lot lately about how people define themselves. If you were asked to write a paragraph about yourself, what would you say?
I would say... Hi, I am normal and completely abnormal at the same time.
Makes, sense right? Probably not. I suppose I would say that I am pretty much a quirky, hard-working, goodie-goodie who values adventure, intelligence, integrity, and family.
The thing I was contemplating is about how other people see each other. For example, I think of myself as a nerd, but I have some friends who view me as an adventure sports athlete. Other friends remember me as the awkward elementary/middle schooler who talked too much and couldn't figure out how to use a hairbrush. My parents view me by my potential. My sister views me variously according to how I've spoken to her that morning. About nine thousand people online view me as the face of a charity. My dog things I'm pretty much God.
Isn't it funny how people view you according to how they're positioned in your life?
How do you define yourself? Is it the same way others see you?
